Unlikely Car to Escape Police: Felony Stop Made After Ford Fiesta Reaches 125mph on I-24 Tuesday Night

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was involved in a high speed chase on Tuesday night around 9:30. The pursuit occurred on I-24 headed towards Nashville. A black Ford Fiesta reached speeds of up to 125 miles per hour. The car evidently had Florida tags. Authorities stopped the suspect at the Joe B. Jackson Parkway exit at 9:46 pm. 

During the felony stop, at least one person was taken into custody. As far as why the suspect decided to run from the T-H-P, that is not known at this time. More details may be released as early as Wednesday morning. WGNS will continue to follow this story.
