An accidental death on March 16, 2017 in Murfreesboro continues to be investigated by the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA). The death occurred at the Orgain Ready Mix Concrete Company at 450 Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

Reports from the March 16th incident show that 51-year-old Eddie Hodges was breaking ice off of a conveyor belt when he became caught in the machinery. A supervisor and another employee worked quickly to free Hodges, but were unsuccessful.

Hodges, who is from Erin, Tennessee, died in the accident.
