UPDATE: Aggravated robbery reported on MTSU Campus Monday night

We have more news on an aggravated robbery that was reported on the MTSU campus Monday evening. The incident occurred in the area of the Ellington Human Science Building around 8:30pm, according to MTSU Police.

The 40-year old victim told officers that he was in the parking lot of the building when he was struck in the back of the head by a black male armed with a knife. After being hit over the head, the victim fell to the ground, but remained conscious as the situation unfolded. The victim suggested that the subject appeared to be about 18-years of age and that about four to five men were standing near the site of the attack, but did nothing. In fact, the report shows that the nearby men fled the scene at the same time the thief fled the scene in the same direction.

The victim was robbed of his iPhone and during the hold-up, the culprit reportedly threatened to shoot or cut the victim. Murfreesboro Police helped aid in the search for the armed culprit, but turned up empty handed. So far, an arrest has not been made.
