Several witnesses told authorities they saw the man leave the store on foot, running towards Joe B. Jackson Parkway. A perimeter was then set up in the area of the store and officers were able to nab a man who fit the description given by witnesses and the victim.

Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department confirmed that an arrest was made shortly after the robbery occurred. The suspect actually lives and works within one mile of where the robbery unfolded.

The reported armed robber was tracked down with the use of a Police K-9. The dog apprehended the suspect who later had to be treated for minor injuries sustained when he was taken down by the dog.

22 Year old Dhaual K. Patel of Elam Road in Murfreesboro was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest. The local man who works as a packager at a company on Joe B. Jackson Parkway, will be in court to face the charges on February 9, 2017.

When questioned by police about the robbery, Patel allegedly admitted to the hold-up and even said that the gun he used was a "toy gun."

To make matters confusing, the suspect is actually a citizen of India. Due to his citizenship status, he could ultimately be told to leave America if found guilty in court.
