Here's an update on the fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early last Saturday morning. 37-year old Benjamin Brenton-Munoz of 1130 Stratus Drive here in Murfreesboro was pronounced deceased at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Southeast Broad Street.

He was the driver of the 1998 white 4-door Toyota Corolla that went off the roadway and rolled onto its roof.

Murfreesboro Police Sergeant Kyle Evans said, "The Toyota traveling Southeast on Broad Street (away from town). The vehicle drifted out of its lane and then off the roadway. The vehicle struck two brick mailboxes before rolling."

A female passenger in the vehicle was also seriously injured in the crash. She was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital by Life flight. She is 19-year old Andrea M. Guevara-Reyes of Mason Tucker Drive in Smyrna is still hospitalized at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
