UPDATE: Bomb Threat Called in to Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center

A bomb threat was called in to the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center on South Church Street Tuesday. The threat was called in at about 8:45, Tuesday morning. Murfreesboro Police, ambulances and deputies from the Sheriff’s Department responded to the detention center after the threat was made.


The courtroom, probation office and lobby at the detention center were all searched and cleared. Several vehicles in the parking lot were also searched for explosive devices, but nothing was found. 

As of 11:15, the building was cleared and no bomb was found.
