After a request for an appeal was filed and later denied by a subject convicted of murder in Rutherford County, Charles Godspower has once again filed an appeal of the dismissal.

Godspower was convicted of second-degree murder after shooting and killing Briana Brown in 2011, the mother of his child. The man then received a 30-year sentence. The subject also shot Brown's mother Diana Glover, but she survived.

After being convicted in Rutherford County, Godspower argued that he should receive post conviction relief. He further suggested that his trial counsel was ineffective and he should have been granted post conviction funding for a mental evaluation.

At the end of his arguments, the Court of Criminal Appeals of Tennessee dismissed Godspower requests.
