On Sunday (4/16/2017) Murfreesboro Police arrested 40-year old Greg Merrilees. He is suspect in a string of recent hotel-motel robberies.

An intensive, multi-agency investigation into a string of middle Tennessee hotel robberies has landed two suspects behind bars. Franklin Police began investigating after the January 11th robbery in Franklin at the Baymont Inn, where one suspect armed with a gun and the other with a knife, menaced the overnight clerk while demanding the hotel's cash.

Detectives from Smyrna, Franklin, and Nashville worked together to identify 32-year-old Dashaun Hickerson of Antioch and 40-year-old Gregg Merrilees of Murfreesboro was apprehended Sunday.

Hickerson is currently being held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, and Merrilees is in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
