We have confirmed more details involving the man who allegedly crashed his car into the side of a room at the Regal Inn on S. Church St. in Murfreesboro.

Suspect Timothy Dorsey evidently crashed into Room 314 striking Christopher Paris who was in the room. The entire incident unfolded as police stood by ordering him out of his car at gunpoint. Dorsey refused to get out of his car and instead, accelerated into the motel room. After allegedly running his car into the room, he got out and physically assaulted 20-year old Paris, according to a report on file with the MPD.

Police say they had to physically pull 43-year old Dorsey off of Paris. Police were eventually able to place him in handcuffs and charge him with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, DUI and Violation of the Implied Consent Law. He was placed under a $100,500 bond and remains behind bars at this time.

A domestic violence situation with an ex-girlfriend by the name of Susan Cole is what led to Dorsey getting into his car and running it into the side of the building. Evidently, Dorsey had an argument with his ex and told her that police would have to kill him. Officers noted in a report that Dorsey had his car positioned in front of the motel room and police ordered him out of his vehicle while holding a gun on him, but he refused. Instead of getting out of the car he accelerated running into the room striking the boyfriend of his ex.

All three were transported to the hospital after the incident, none of them had life threatening injuries. To make matters more confusing, the ex-girlfriend decided to pay a visit to Paris once in a hospital room. When Cole stopped by to check on Paris, she was arrested. The 33-year old was wanted for failing to appear in court in Marshal County, Tennessee.
