WGNS now has more news on the reported stabbing which took place in the Bonefish Grill parking lot on Thursday afternoon. Police say they first responded to Middle Tennessee Medical Center around 5-pm when staff at the hospital called them to report a stabbing victim.
When police entered the medical facility they learned that victim Tommy Padregas drove himself to the hospital after being stabbed in the restaurant parking lot at the corner of Thompson Lane and Medical Center Parkway. When detectives first arrived, they were unable to speak with Padregas because of his condition, he was listed as a critical patient.
After police left the hospital, they headed to the Bonefish Grill parking lot. They taped off the parking lot and refused to let customers enter or leave the restaurant while the investigation got underway. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that the stabbing occured after an argument between several individuals.
Murfreesboro Police quickly nabbed a suspect who was identified and taken into custody without incident shortly after the stabbing victim checked himself into the hospital. The name of the culprit has not yet been released.
