UPDATE: Murfreesboro Woman Facing Terrorist Related Charge After Allegedly Stating She Would Call Muslim Brother to Blow Up Murfreesboro Hospital

Talk about a serious charge… A 43-year old Murfreesboro woman has officially been charged with “Commission of Act of Terrorism,” as a result of the previously reported threat that was allegedly made at Middle Tennessee Medical Center on Monday morning. 

What Was the Threat?

According to the police incident report, the suspect allegedly told an emergency room nurse, “The Black Catholic Church should take over this hospital and get all the white people out” or “I’ll call my brother, he’s a Muslim, to blow up the hospital.” After the threat was made, she quickly left the facility. The report stated that the hospital staff moved patients in the vicinity of Prunella Wilkerson Boynton away from her to what was described as “safer areas.” 

Prunella Wilkerson Boynton will appear in court here in Rutherford County on June 4th, 2013.In the meantime, she remains behind bars in the local jail on the New Salem Highway under a $20,000 bond.

Description of the Charge:

TN Code Annotated 39-13-805.  Commission of act of terrorism. 

  (a) It is an offense for any person to commit an act of terrorism in this state.

(b) An act of terrorism is a Class A felony.
