UPDATE: New City Schools Director to be Decided and Announced Thurs. Night

December 2, 2009

We are just one day away from the announcement of a new Murfreesboro City Schools director. On Thursday night at 7:30, the city school board will meet at their South Church Street office to decide if local resident Dr. Linda Gilbert will get the job or if the work will be handed to Dr. Lela Bridges the current director of schools in Harvey, Illinois.

The Thursday night meeting is open to the public. WGNS’ Zach Troutman will have more on this story Thursday evening after the announcement is made.

The search firm is a farce and they should not be paid another dime. If the City Board selects Bridges, everyone who approves of this should be replaced!

Got something to say?
