The 26-year-old reportedly attempted to flee as the officers tried to remove him from the vehicle and take him into custody.

Officer Sebastian Krauss was seriously injured during the struggle. Despite also being injured, Officer Joe Timsonr was able to apprehend Kisesa and take him into custody after a foot pursuit.

After the arrest, Officer Krauss was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Krauss has served with the La Vergne Police for 3-years, while Timson has been on the squad for about a year.

Majibu Kisesa is a Nashville resident and was released from the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center after posting $23,500 bond. He is charged with two (2) counts of Aggravated Assault, Evading Arrest and Resist: Stop/Frisk/Halt/Arrest or Search.
