According to Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department Assistant Fire Marshal Carl Peas, Monday’s early morning mobile home fire at 1325 Wenlon Drive started in the back bedroom of the unit. The cause of the fire is still unknown and continues to be under investigation. 

No one was home when crews responded to the fire just shortly after 4:00 am.

“The two residents were in the process of moving out,” said Peas. “The unit was not completely vacant, but only a small amount of furniture and a few other items were left in the unit.”

At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
