UPDATE: Plead date reset for Mother indicted for fatal accident that left her son dead

UPDATE: A case that hit the Rutherford County courts on Friday involving a mother who was allegedly involved in a fatal DUI related accident that left her 3 year old son dead, will see another date in court this August.

Connie Bland Reyes who was set to make a plea on Friday (7/21/17) will head back to court on August 31, 2017 after lawyers asked for her case to be reset, which will give them more time to prepare.

The fatal accident occurred on the 27th of February in 2016. The Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the tragic accident that left Bland with a cracked sternum and a collapsed lung. The accident also killed 3-year-old Giovanni Bland-Robinson.

The mother will face the following charges:

  • Aggravated Child Abuse / Neglect / Endangerment
  • Vehicular Homicide, Driver Intoxication
  • Vehicular Homicide
  • Vehicular Assault
  • Reckless Endangerment - Vehicle Felony
  • DUI 1st Offense

Connie Bland Reyes will appear before Judge David Bragg in a Rutherford County Courtroom on August 31, 2017.
