UPDATE: Rutherford County Schools are looking into the charges that an 18 year old Blackman High School student is facing.

Schools spokesperson James Evans told WGNS, "I am able to confirm that Michael R. Chuba is a student at Blackman High School. The school and the district are reviewing the charges -- which did not stem from any on-campus behaviors -- and speaking with the family. However, we cannot discuss specifics about the student because of education privacy laws."

An 18 year old who told Murfreesboro Police that he is a student at Blackman High School was arrested on multiple charges.

Michael R. Chuba was taken into custody after a traffic stop when he allegedly drove "IN" the "OUT" gate of an apartment complex on Old Castle Drive. After driving into the wrong gate, metal spikes deflated his tires due to him driving the incorrect direction over the spikes.

While the arrest did not happen at Blackman High School, the student was charged for possessing a handgun that had the serial number filed off of it. Chuba was also charged for having Xanax and marijuana in his car.

The night didn't get better for the 18-year old as he later failed a field sobriety test, according to a police report. Therefore, he was also charged with DUI.
