Rutherford County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking information about the whereabouts of a Smyrna man two hours before his body was found Dec. 15 on Interstate 24 at the Almaville Road exit westbound.

Victim Jackie Graham Warpoole’s body was found inside a silver Dodge Magnum about 6:30 a.m., Sheriff Robert Arnold said at the time. Warpoole, 47, suffered a gunshot wound.

Detective Lt. Todd Sparks said Thursday investigators believe Warpoole was in Murfreesboro between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. the morning he was killed.

Family members and friends established a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.

“We are just reaching out to the public for help,” Lt. Sparks said.

Anyone who saw Warpoole that morning or saw his silver Dodge Magnum or has information about his death is asked to call Detective Jamin Humphress at 904-3052. Callers may remain anonymous.

Warpoole’s family has authorized a billboard asking for information posted near Bell Road in Nashville.

“We are meeting daily and continuing to dig through every lead that comes in, whether it is a phone call or information,” Lt. Sparks said. “We are still getting calls.”
