5:50pm: Reports of "good snow shower" in north La Vergne, sticking to roadways @RuthSevereWx.
5:30pm: MTSU Police report campus roads are icing over.
4:25pm: Tennessee Emergency Management Agency has declared a State of Emergency due to ice/snow in West and Middle Tennessee.
4:15pm: Smyrna Police report requesting salt trucks to areas like Fitzhugh Drive at Sam Ridley and Rocky Fork Road over I-24.
4:10pm: Snow reported at Fortress Blvd. at Medical Center Parkway.
3:35pm: Crash on I-840 Westbound at mile marker 55 (N.W. Broad/Nashville Highway) has the roadway closed. Expected to be cleared around 5pm.
3:30pm: Getting reports of snow falling in north Rutherford County (Eagleville, Smyrna, La Vergne). Conditions will go down hill fast as surface temperatures are well below freezing now.
2:30pm: Areas of light freezing rain now mixing with sleet. Report from north Murfreesboro, near the VA Hospital.
12:30pm: Light freezing rain continues. Sidewalks, ramps, parked cars, etc. accumulating ice. Roads will be next. Snow, per National Weather Service, expected around 2pm or so.
11:30am: @RuthSevereWx reports freezing rain has taken over the majority of the county. Cars are covered with ice. Snow line is about two-hours away.
10:45am: City of Murfreesboro reports bridges are at 31-degrees. Salt trucks being dispatched to the city bridges.
10:20am: Freezing rain on I-24 between Old Fort and Salem Highway. Vehicle and windshields are glazing with ice. Reports of freezing rain from Eagleville to Milton. From @RuthSevereWx.
10:15am: Freezing rain is beginning to freeze on elevated surfaces like trees, street signs and cars.
