An armed robbery was reported in LaVergne early Wednesday morning. According to police, the robbery was at the Ramada Inn on Enterprise Blvd.

The victim at the hotel was able to call 9-1-1 as the robber was reaching over the counter in search of the cash drawer. The suspect, described as a tall black male wearing black clothing and a black face cover, pulled a silver gun on two employees and demanded cash.

A second robbery occurred Wednesday morning at the Kangaroo convenience store? located at 5022 Murfreesboro Road in LaVergne. Officers were still processing the robbery scene at Ramada Inn when they received notification of the second robbery.

During the Kangaroo hold-up, the unknown man managed to steal money from the cash register before fleeing the scene less than a minute after the robbery began, but not before mentioning something to the employee about a "Merry Christmas".

The suspect in the second incident was described as a short black male with dreadlocks wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans or camo pants, tan boots, and a red/black hat armed with a black handgun.

Smyrna Police also worked two armed robberies late Tuesday night and into the early morning hours of Wednesday. Some of the known facts in one of their robberies is very similar to one of the robberies in LaVergne. That robbery in Smyrna actually occurred right before the robbery at the Ramada Inn in LaVergne.
