VA Hospital worker in Murfreesboro claims the VA ruined his life!

We are recapping a story we first aired in 2013 about a VA worker who told us that he has not received the help he has asked for. The healthcare employee at the York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro says that he was the victim of a hate crime and little is being done about the situation. The victim, who is Jewish, was wearing a Yarmulke on his head at the time of the attack and that may have set off the attacker...

That was Murfreesboro resident Douglas Smith who told us he filed charges against the suspect for the attack that was labeled by authorities as a “simple assault.” Smith told us the incident occurred as he was helping to calm the patient in question.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the attack led to several injuries in September of 2012.  Those injuries included one broken bone, nerve damage, an arm sprain and a complete rotator cuff rupture. Records show that Smith went back to work in November of 2012, but stopped reporting to work in April of 2013. Smith blames that on fear…

Smith gave his thoughts on the entire situation…

By the way, Smith is a U-S Veteran himself.

Here is a video that Smith recently released on YouTube.com:
