The Primary Care and Hope Clinic announces the addition of Chayla Chasten, MD. Dr. Chasten is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and will be responsible for general patient care including healthcare for chronic and acute illnesses, annual physical exams, immunizations, care for minor injuries and women’s health.

Dr. Chayla Chasten is a native of Anchorage, Alaska. She attended Clark Atlanta University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, graduating Cum Laude.  Dr. Chasten was accepted in to the 2010 class in the School of Medicine at Meharry Medical College.  There she received her Doctorate of Medicine, graduating with honors and stayed on to attend residency in their Family Medicine Program. During her matriculation at Meharry, she also worked at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital as well as other local clinics focusing on the underserved and uninsured in the Nashville area.   Dr.  Chasten has assisted with numerous community projects including Jefferson Street clean-up day and organizing a panel on Domestic Violence Awareness.   Dr. Chasten is currently accepting new patients.  She sees patients of all ages, from birth to the young at heart.
