The radio broadcasters will attend a day of educational conferences on Wednesday (8/8/2018) and hear new ideas on ways to better serve their community, make radio advertising more effective and an engineering and FCC regulations update.

In addition, a noon luncheon will honor one broadcaster with this Tennessee industry's highest honor: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD.

Another highlight of the gathering was a narration by MTSU's College of Media and Entertainment Dean Ken Paulson who, along with a live group of Nashville musicians, showed how rock, pop, soul and country changed America. The presentation was called "Freedom Sings", from the First Amendment Center.

NewsRadio WGNS welcomes these Tennessee broadcasters to the Heart of Tennessee. We hope you enjoy your stay, and that you'll come back again soon.
