Tomboys and princesses alike will have one thing in common when they gather together on February 7. They will be making memories with their dads at the Daddy and Daughter Dance, scheduled at Roy Waldron Elementary School from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of La Vergne is hosting the third annual dance for the young ladies of the city. Girls from preschool through high school are invited to put on their dancing shoes and bring their daddy, grandfather, uncle, brother, or mother for an afternoon of music, dancing, games, cookies, and quality time.

"I want to thank Roy Waldron Elementary School for agreeing to let us hold the dance in their gymnasium," said Mayor Dennis Waldron. "The response of our residents over this dance and other city events is causing us to seek out bigger venues. It is wonderful that we can work in partnership with the school to enrich the lives of our children."

Tickets are $10 per "couple" and are available at the Parks and Recreation office at 294 Sand Hill Road or at the door. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event. For more information, call (615) 793-3224.
