Williamson Co. Deputies Need Help of Rutherford Co. Residents in Nabbing Suspect

November 9, 2009

Adam Rutland and Brian McCroskey allegedly  stole more than $1,000 in Blu-ray DVDs from the Cool Springs Target. Both suspects got away, but were later identified in an investigation.

After appearing in court this month, Rutland pleaded guilty in Williamson County Circuit Court to Theft Over $1,000 and was sentenced to six years of probation. As part of that probation, Rutland must attend 3 addiction support meetings a week for the entire six years. He is also required to submit to regular drug screening.

Authorities in Williamson County say they need the help of Rutherford County residents in bringing in the second suspect. Brian McCroskey, the other culprit in this case, is at large and wanted for Failure to Appear and Theft Over $1,000 after missing his Williamson County court date. McCroskey is 25 years old, 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 155 pounds. He has several tattoos and two distinguishable bald spots on the left rear portion of his head. McCroskey has ties to Rutherford and Cannon Counties. If you know where he is, that information could be worth up to $1,000 by simply calling CrimeStoppers at (615) 794-4000; all callers remain anonymous.
