Not only can you get milk and bread at your local grocery store, starting Friday, you can pick up wine. You've probably noticed several grocers like Kroger, Publix and Wal-Mart have already arranged the store to add in wine to their aisles.

A law passed during the 2014 session of the Tennessee General Assembly. It was introduced by Senator Bill Ketron of Murfreesboro and signed by Governor Haslam. It appeared on the ballot back in 2014 in 79 municipalities, including Murfreesboro and Smyrna. It was passed by all but one by voters.

The law stipulates wine can only be sold between the hours of 8am and 11pm Monday through Saturday and can not be sold on Sundays. Sales of wine are also not permitted on major holidays like Christmas, the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. It's the same law that's been ruling liquor store sales.
