Winter Weather Advisory Sunday and Monday

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Rutherford County from 9pm Sunday until 6am Monday for the possibility of sleet and freezing rain. 

Ice/sleet tenth up to one quarter of an inch.
Hazardous driving conditions will be possible due to ice accumulations from freezing rain and sleet. Trees and power lines could experience ice accumulations...resulting in power outages.
With north winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph... could exacerbate ice accumulation problems on trees and power lines.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
