Two Woodbury men have been placed under arrest recently when Woodbury Police chased one of the two subjects after recognizing him.

According to Woodbury Police reports, Police observed Dustin L. Nichols driving on South McCrary Street. When Nichols saw the officer turn around, he allegedly accelerated quickly and sped away. After canvassing the area, the officer saw the vehicle on East High Street.

Reports indicate that Nichols took off on foot and evaded the officer. The officer then questioned Austin Blake Markum who was with the vehicle. Markum evidently told police that it was not Nichols that was running, but instead him (Markum himself). Woodbury Police then arrested Markum and charged him with filing a false report.

As for Mr. Nichols, he was eventually caught and charged with evading arrest.
