Local non-profit "Unpack Your Bags" is holding a fundraiser that is actually a workshop for those looking to start a non-profit or bring new life into their existing organization. Unpack Your Bags is a non-profit that helps with youth aging out of the foster care system in our community.

  • How to be become a 501c3 tax exempt organization and being a good steward once exempt;
  • Appropriately fundraising techniques;
  • Effectively organization financial management;
  • Preparation for the grant process;
  • To identify different types of funding, grants, and philanthropic giving;
  • To identify the different parts of a grant ;
  • To effectively apply for funding and submit quality proposals;
  • How to find the funding, funders, grants, and givers;
  • To speak the funders language;
  • Take control of your fear of grant writing; and
  • To discover the support throughout this process, just for you!
