An alleged robber did just the opposite and actually left money behind at the store he evidently intended to hit.

Police responded to a panic alarm that was set off by a worker at the Shell Gas Station at 1207 Greenland Drive Tuesday.

Once on the scene, the worker told police a customer placed a box of Orajel in his pocket. The subject then went to the counter and asked for a box of cigars. The gas station employee asked the man to remove the Orajel from his pocket, but the subject insisted he did not steal any Orajel and instead pulled thirty dollars out of his pocket. When asked a second time the culprit removed the Orajel and put it on the counter while saying, "I'm going to rob you."

When the customer said the words, "I'm going to rob you," the store employee pushed the alarm button. The would be robber then fled the scene leaving his thirty dollars on the counter.

At this point an arrest has not been made, but police do have the tag number on the vehicle that the man left the scene in.
