The son of Scott Peek in Murfreesboro will receive a special award from the local fire department next week.

According to Ashley McDonald with Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue, Peek's son Jackson was with his grandmother when she fell and broke her shoulder. Scott Peek told McDonald, "He tried to help her up, but when he couldn't, he stayed calm and was trying to give her other ideas of how to stand up. When she couldn't, he kept his cool and got her phone so they could call for help." Jackson's father said, "I told him tonight what a hero he was for being such a good helper."
