The little boy who was visited by two of the Nashville Predators during their playoff run has passed away.
Trip Phinney, of Murfreesboro, battled against cancer all his life. A bright moment in this hockey fan's life was a visit by Predators' Roman Josi (YO-see) and Mike Fisher, just after game five of the playoffs. They brought him a signed hockey stick and a puck.
Josi was asked about his visit with Phinney...
Phinney passed away on Monday. He's survived by his parents Timothy and Theresa Phinney.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Friends and family are being asked to wear their "gold."
