"Rounds with Dr. Manny" Discussed Opioid Crisis in Murfreesboro on Monday

Healthy Tennessee hosted a roundtable discussion in Murfreesboro on Monday (May 20, 2019). "Rounds with Dr. Manny" focused on expanding communication and exploring solutions for opioid abuse in communities across the state and producing a white paper with recommendations that can be shared with local and state governments.

The roundtable discussion was at Greenhouse Ministries.

Attendees included local elected officials, law enforcement officials, drug coalitions, patients, victims, medical professionals, education specialists and relevant nonprofits that conducted a town hall-style discussion.

"We are utilizing a town hall format, 'Rounds with Dr. Manny,' and as we have done in dozens of counties across Tennessee where we can share and learn from our fellow Tennesseans. We're encouraged with the progress we've seen and look forward to even more progress across the state with community stakeholders," Dr. Manny stated.
