A one-hundred year old home in Eagleville is destroyed by fire. Rutherford County Fire and Rescue's Larry Farley tells NewsRadio WGNS they assisted Eagleville Fire Department with a two-story house fire in the 900 block of S. Main St. in Eagleville, just before 1pm Tuesday.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the log cabin style home. It took fire crews from the Town of Eagleville, Rutherford County and adjoining Williamson County 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.

Due to the age of the home, fire crews will be on scene for several hours extinguishing hotspots.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The home is a total loss.
