11 Year old girl is the victim in a case of Aggravated Sexual Battery in Murfreesboro

A 25 year old Murfreesboro man has been arrested and charged with "Aggravated Sexual Battery." The man is accused of the sexual in nature crime against an 11 year old child.

Michael A. Parker was apprehended on February 12, 2018. The allegations first arose after a patrol officer met the with child. From there, the 11 year old girl was introduced to detectives.

A police report shows, "During the interview the victim made credible disclosures." Evidence was later collected and the suspect was interviewed by police. Evidence was then presented to the February Grand Jury, which resulted in the indicted charge of "Aggravated Sexual Battery."

According to state law, several circumstances can lead to a charge of "Aggravated Sexual Battery." One of those situations involves a victim who is less than 13 years of age.

Parker, who lives on Clydeway Drive in Murfreesboro, was booked under a $100,000 bond. He will be in Circuit Court on March 12, 2018.
