Animal Rescue Corps (ARC), a nonprofit animal protection organization based in Washington D.C., is pleased to announce that 156 dogs and cats from Operation Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort have been moved out of the ARC emergency shelter to ARC's placement partners around the U.S., the next step in their journey to a new life. ARC's shelter and foster-based rescue partners in Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Virginia, New York, Michigan, and Wisconsin will be finding permanent loving homes for all of them. ARC has been caring for the rescued animals, at an emergency shelter in Lebanon TN since their arrival during the Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort.

"These wonderful animals were already in the Texas shelter system prior to the hurricane making landfall," said Animal Rescue Corps President Scotlund Haisley. "And now our valued placement partners around the country will find them loving homes."
