(MURFREESBORO) Perfect temps and a gentle breeze brought record attendance to Saturday's 17th Annual Greenway Art Festival in the Old Fort Park.

Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department Event Coordinator Lisa Browning noted, "There were over 70 fine artists working with a variety of mediums."

She explained, "The theme of Saturday's event was Cross Pollination--Art and Nature in Harmony. It was chosen to reflect the synergy of what's going on in the Murfreesboro Arts community. Just like plants, animals and insects work together to flourish, artists from all genres are coming together to build each other up resulting in a flourishing arts community,"
