Shortly after 8:00 o'clock Saturday night, the silence of a quiet neighborhood was broken when two vehicles crashed into each other at the intersection of Haynes Haven Lane and James Drive.

First responders from Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue were on the scene almost instantly, but neighbors had already gotten out lawn recliners on which the injured lied until paramedics from Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services arrived.

From the extent of the damage to the mini-van and SUV, the impact between the two vehicles was considerable.

Police were on the scene gathering evidence, measuring marks in the road and interviewing neighbors for a considerable amount of time.

NewsRadio WGNS is not releasing the names of those involved until we are certain that relatives have been notified.
