The Salvation Army held their second annual "Beyond the Bells" luncheon at Embassy Suites. The event was used to bring awareness to the mission of the local Salvation Army and give the community a chance to give of their time, talents and donations to the organization.

The group recognized Bart Walker from WGNS Radio as honorary chair of the event. Also, the Nissan was this year's community award recipient, with recently retired Vice President Randy Knight accepting the award.
NewsRadio WGNS' Bryan Barrett served as master of ceremonies for the event and once again, Betsy Maples Taylor of Clark Maples Realty and Auction was the event chair. Bryan also serves as the Salvation Army's Advisory Board Chairman.
