45 Year old Ronald David Harris is behind bars in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center facing charges dealing with the sexual abuse of a child.

Harris, who was arrested by LaVergne Police, last lived in the Antioch area. Apparently, he was the subject of an investigation involving a minor which landed him in handcuffs this past August (8/8/2016).

After being charged by officers with especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a child, the case was given to the Rutherford County Grand Jury. The jury handed down additional charges that include:

• 13 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure
• 13 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
• Sexual exploitation of a minor over 100 times

Harris will appear in court on Friday (7/21/17) to file a plea during his hearing in Rutherford County.
