The investigation at this point shows that a Dodge Neon being driven by 36-year-old Kerhonda Shanel Lemacks was traveling west on Northfield Blvd., lost control and entered the median. Lemacks then entered the opposite lane, struck an oncoming Hyundai Elantra being driven by 30-year-old Tracy Levell Brown from Murfreesboro.

Deborah Mansfield who was a passenger in the Neon driven by Lemacks, was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A second passenger in the Neon was 52-year-old Paul Burton, he did not suffer life threatening injuries in the collision. Both Mansfield (deceased) and Burton lived together in Murfreesboro on Searcy Street.

The passenger in the car belonging to Brown that was reported as being stuck by Lemacks was Amanda Lea Crawford Brown - both the driver and passenger were taken to Saint Thomas Rutherford with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues and so far, charges have not been filed by Murfreesboro Police.
