Reports indicate the shoplifter entered the store and made his way to the beer aisle. The man allegedly placed two 24-packs of Budweiser, a 24-pack of Bud Light and two 12-packs of "Straw-Ber-Rita" Bud Light in his shopping cart and then headed for the exit located in the Garden Center.

After leaving the store, a loss prevention worker confronted the man in the parking lot. Police showed up and ran a quick warrants check on Taylor Benford. It was quickly discovered that the 20-year had a local warrant for "Violation of Probation." In addition to the warrant, Benford evidently had an issue with being truthful to police because he was charged with criminal impersonation after "lying about his name," according to an incident report. Benford was also charged with theft.

Due to his actions, Benford spent at least four hours behind bars on Labor Day. He was released just before 7:00, Monday evening after posting a $13,000 bond.

As for the beer, it was returned to the store.
