A case of forging signatures on checks in Murfreesboro

A Murfreesboro man by the name of Brad Benefield has been accused of cashing three checks belonging to someone else. According to a Murfreesboro Police Incident Report, the checks totaled over $3,000.

The checks in question were said to be cashed at the Georgetown Kroger Suntrust Bank, the East Main Suntrust Bank and the South Church Street Suntrust Bank. In each case, the subject allegedly forged the account holder's signature on the checks.

Surveillance photos from the banks were obtained by police. The bank has since reimbursed the account holders.
