A Change in Teaching: Murfreesboro City Schools Dive into Professional Writing Ending Bad Habits with Text Message Writting

UPDATED: A new program at the Murfreesboro City Schools will address how up and coming students communicate with one another. The program will break bad habits children may have learned or are currently learning through social media and teach them how to write in a more professional manner. The city is participating in a pilot program for the state in the language arts.

That was Dr. Caresa Brooks, who is part of the Reading and Instruction Language Arts Program for the City of Murfreesboro. Schools are also aiming to better prepare students for college and careers. They say they will dive deeper into problem solving and creativity.
