A local dentist focused on helping others

Dr. Elizabeth Jackson received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University, and then completed dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In 2007, Dr. Jackson started her career in Alabama and later moved to Murfreesboro where she was named the clinical director of the Interfaith Dental Clinic, a non-profit organization that helps those of low income. Later, she opened her own practice on Old Fort Parkway called Murfreesboro Family Dentistry.

Recently, the dentist talked about how some people come to her after only having one or two dental visits over their entire lifetime out of fear. Jackson suggested that sometimes patients fear dental visits because of one negative experience...
