A Murfreesboro man has been convicted again... for another sex related offense.

You may recall the name "Craig Lee McCord" from past news stories. He's the convicted sex offender who reportedly woke a child in his home who was spending the night with his step daughter by allegedly touching the 13-year-old inappropriately. The child quickly awoke and called her family to pick her up. The same man was later arrested while out on bond for unlawfully photographing women in a local grocery store. In 2016, Police say he slid under female shoppers photographing females up their dress.

Most recently, McCord plead guilty in the case involving the attempted rape of a child in a Rutherford County Courtroom. The 41-year-old man, who was indicted by the courts in 2017, was convicted after a case involving his step-daughter.

The victim in the case that went to court on May 16, 2018 was only 12. Court records also show that she was younger when the first abuse situation unfolded.

McCord was sentenced in May to spend the next 10 years in prison. Court documents show that he will have to serve 35% of that sentence or 3.5 years behind bars before he is eligible for parole. Of course, that does not automatically mean he will receive parole, it only means that he will be eligible for it.

McCord is currently behind bars at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville, Tennessee. He is listed on the sex offender registry as a "Violent" offender. His previous sex offense convictions are from 2002 and 2015.
