Murfreesboro Police Officers responded to 2913 Meadowhill Drive around 1:30pm Tuesday in reference to a grenade found near a creek in the area. Sergeant Mark Wood and his explosives detecting K9 partner "Boomer" responded. It was determined the grenade was likely real and the Tennessee Highway Patrol Bomb Squad responded. The THP Bomb Squad rendered the grenade safe for transport and processed it for disposal.
