(SMYRNA, TN) Every job has its challenging moments, and it's uplifting when "out of the blue"--someone stops to say THANK YOU. A gully washer was soaking Smyrna, when a young boy not only changed one officer's day, but perhaps his life.

There was a downpour drenching Smyrna as Officer Zach Little had been helping with a long funeral procession. He was not only soaked to the bone, but feeling sad for the family who lost two members.

Officer Little remembered, "I was pulled over in a bank parking lot drying off, when a young boy hopped out of this car and ran over to deliver an envelope. He smiled and said 'thank you for your service sir'."

In a blink of the eye, the 10-year old was running back to his mom's car in the pouring rain.

The police officer went over and to thank the woman.

As the mom pulled away, she simply replied, "It's an act of kindness and please be safe."

After getting back into patrol car, Officer Little soaked in the heartfelt message.

He said, "I opened the letter and it made my day! What a powerful message that mother was teaching her son--to LOVE and not HATE.

Thank you Levi and thank you to his mama for raising her son to be a a caring citizen.
