Would you know how to respond in an active shooter situation? Did you know 80-percent of active shooter events occur in the workplace?
The Better Business Bureau wants to help. They're hosting an active shooter workshop Tuesday (August 28th) from 1-4pm at the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors Office on Butler Drive.
Terrie Page with the BBB says this workshop is designed to provide public and private sector businesses with the tools needed to develop active shooter plans for their businesses and facilities. J. Buford Tune, President of the Academy of Personal Protection & Security, will teach life-saving techniques to survive an active shooter event.
The event is sponsored by Redstone Federal Credit Union and is free. However, you do need to RSVP. Contact Page by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the local BBB office at (615) 867-0032.
