Adult Son Murders Father Friday Night In 'Boro

(MURFREESBORO) Detectives from the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office told NewsRadio WGNS that an adult son was arrested late Friday (9/21/2018) night after he allegedly killed his father. The murder occurred at their Brookrun Road home. That is off Asbury Road, near I-24.

25-year old Tanner Lancaster was charged with first-degree murder of his father, Parry Lancaster.

Major Bill Sharp said officers responded to a domestic assault call at the home where they found an assault occurred.

"Unfortunately, the father passed away," Sharp said.

Detective Sergeant Steve Craig explained that the father, mother and son lived in the home.

Tanner Lancaster was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond. A hearing is set for Monday, October 29, 2018 in General Sessions Court.
