Murfreesboro continues to grow, which means more homes being built, new apartment complexes and additional housing for our baby boomer population.

According to the Population Reference Bureau, by year 2029 twenty percent of the U.S. population will be aged 65 or older. Just three years ago in 2014, there were 76.4 million baby boomers in the U.S.

One of the recent construction projects underway is a large structure on Fortress Boulevard in Murfreesboro that many passing motorist assumed was just another apartment complex. However, that is far from true. It is actually a new senior living community, as explained by Joy Ash in this 5 minute interview with Scott Walker...

If you're curious as to why baby boomers are called baby boomers... This may answer your question: Between 1946 and 1964, there were just over 76 million births in the United States, which explains why that segment of the population is called the "Baby Boomers."
